The 5th Chinese Opera Culture Week Kicks Off on Oct 1st With A Series of Wonderful Performances

Beijing – The 5th Chinese Opera Culture Week is held from Oct 1 to Oct 7.

The event, which has been successfully held for four times, is considered as an important opera & culture brand.

The annual theme of the 5th Chinese Opera Culture Week is “Heroes • Striving”.  Combining performances activities and games with opera organically, the opera week will bring innovative experiences for visitors in a diverse and interactive way.

It is reported that, there will be more than 240 performances, almost 300 docent lectures and nearly 500 interactive activities during this year’s opera week.

With inheritance of Chinese opera and culture blend, the 5th Chinese Opera Culture Week presents distinctive characteristics like “Chinese opera in the gardens, gardens in the Chinese opera”.

Many well-known traditional Chinese Opera troupes, including the National Peking Opera Company, Jingju Theater Company, Hebei Clapper Opera Company, Tangshan Pingju Opera Company, the Northern Kunqu Opera Theatre and Beijing Opera Theater Company, are pooled in the opera week to present a series of classic repertoires.

This national level carnival will contribute to cultural inheritance and innovation as well as keep bringing innovative experiences for viewers and visitors during the opera week.
