Head Start Online School Offers Online Responsible Adult Course to Qualify Job-Seekers to Work with Children in BC, Canada

June 8, 2022 – Mariah Hunter is the founder of Head Start Online School, an online early childhood education center in West Vancouver, BC.  Mariah works with students, job-seekers, preschools, daycares, nonprofits and colleges to provide certification training for Responsible Adults.

The online Responsible Adult Course is a 20 hour entry-level certification training legislated by the BC government.  This course is required in order to work with children in licensed daycares in BC.  The Responsible Adult Course covers child development, child guidance, nutrition, and health and safety.  Participants are required to be 19 years of age or older. 

Head Start Online School specializes in helping international students and newcomers to Canada to gain employment in the childcare field with their online certification training that is available in over 100 languages.  Furthermore, the online Responsible Adult Course is eligible for funding by WorkBC employment centers.  Newcomers can apply for funding to take the training as long as they are a permanent resident of Canada.

Mariah offers one-on-one assistance to students as they take the course and makes herself available by phone or email for any questions students may have. Head Start also offers job search assistance for students seeking Responsible Adult positions close to where they live.
